Khun Somchai K.

Bangkok · Pension Rights Briefing

"I had been putting off dealing with my pension documents for months because the language was confusing. The briefing session gave me a clear picture of where I stood — written down, in plain terms. I left with a note I could actually read and refer to later. That alone was worth it."

Chiang Mai · Decision Review

"I contacted Mongkol Law after receiving a pension decision I thought was wrong. They reviewed the documents carefully and were honest — they said the decision was actually correct on two of the three points I had raised. That honesty meant I trusted what they said about the third point, which did have grounds to challenge. They helped me draft a response and it was accepted."

Bangkok · End-to-End Appeal

"The appeal took longer than I expected — about four months in total. But Khun Surakul kept me updated at every stage and I never felt out of the loop. The outcome was positive. My only comment is that earlier appointments sometimes ran a little late, though this was never a serious problem."

Khun Araya P.

Bangkok · Pension Rights Briefing

"My situation was not complicated in the end, but I had no way of knowing that before I came in. The briefing took about ninety minutes and covered everything I needed to know. I did not need to go further, but knowing clearly why was itself useful."

Khun Chalee R.

Nonthaburi · Decision Review

"Straightforward to deal with and the written response they drafted was clear and professional. The matter is still ongoing — we are waiting on a response — but everything handled so far has been organised and explained well. I would have appreciated slightly more frequent updates during the waiting period."

Khun Malee L.

Bangkok · End-to-End Appeal

"My appeal involved a fairly technical point about entitlement under the GPF rules. The firm understood this immediately — I did not have to explain the background twice. They kept the case moving at a sensible pace and I received a positive decision after about three months. The fees were exactly as quoted."

Incorrect SSO Pension Calculation

Decision Review · 6 weeks

Challenge

A client had received a pension calculation from the Social Security Office that appeared to exclude several months of contributions made in the final year of their employment. The client was uncertain whether the error was theirs or the SSO's and did not know how to raise a formal query.

How It Was Handled

We reviewed the contribution records against the SSO calculation. The discrepancy was confirmed. We then drafted a formal letter setting out the specific months in question and the supporting figures, along with the relevant regulatory provisions. The letter was submitted within two weeks of the initial consultation.

Outcome

The SSO acknowledged the error and issued a corrected calculation within three weeks of receiving the letter. The revised monthly pension amount was higher than the original. The client received a short briefing note explaining the change and what to monitor going forward.

GPF Early Withdrawal Dispute

Appeal Support · 4 months

Challenge

A former civil servant's application for early GPF withdrawal under the medical exception was declined. The GPF cited insufficient documentation, though the client believed the medical evidence provided was adequate. A standard response letter had not resolved the matter.

How It Was Handled

We reviewed the original application and the GPF's written reasons. We identified two areas where the documentation could be strengthened and one procedural point the GPF had not addressed correctly. An appeal was prepared, including additional supporting documents and a structured legal argument. The client was represented at the subsequent hearing.

Outcome

The appeal was upheld on the procedural point and on one of the documentary grounds. The GPF approved the withdrawal application. The process took approximately four months from our initial instruction to the final decision. Costs at each stage were outlined before work began.
